White City

Original Painting, by Infamous New Zealand artist RifRaf.

The White City is a name given to Tel Aviv because of the large number of buildings built there between the 1920s and the 1950s in the Bauhaus style.
Over 4000 buildings in this style can still be seen in central Tel Aviv; the largest concentration in any one city in the world.

This was my entry for a themed contest with the theme "graffiti"

Title : Mezuzah
This might be stretching the theme a bit far
This is a design for a Mezuzah Case
Traditional Jews mount a Mezuzah on the door frame of
their home this is a small piece of parchment inscribed
with the Hebrew verses (Deuteronomy 6:4-9 and 11:13-21)
which contain the commandment to
"inscribe these words on the doorposts of your house" (Deut 6:9).
(mezuzah is actually the hebrew word for doorpost)
A Mezuzah Case is the decorative case used to hold and
mount the rolled parchment

won "Best Interpretation of Theme"

Type: Painting.
Medium: Acrylic on Boxed Canvas.
